 The national and state parks have teamed up to best manage and provide visitor services at the redwood parks.

East of the parks is the Smith River National Recreation Area, rich in natural resources and recreational opportunities of all sorts.  Managed by the forest service.  See

The Smith River is the cleanest undammed river in the state.  Smith River Alliance works to keep it that way. smithriveralliance.org

Just down the road from the Farmhouse is Tolowa Dunes State Park - Beautiful!  see
